Why GAA Performance

Generic gym plans
don't play like a match

GAA is repeated sprints, hard contact, changes of direction and long seasons on top of work and college. Your training should match that.

01

Strength that transfers

Lower-body and trunk strength that carries into the tackle, the jump and the last ten minutes.

02

Speed & agility training

Resisted sprints, acceleration and explosive power work trained in a way that fits around your club schedule.

03

GAA fitness programme

Conditioning built around the stop-start intensity of a game, not steady jogging.

04

Injury prevention, built in

Hamstring, groin and ACL injury prevention work in every week, not bolted on afterwards. See how →

05

Planned around your season

Off-season build, pre-season sharpening and in-season maintenance, so you peak when it counts.

06

Fits real life

Sessions are short, clear and doable with limited kit, whether you're in a full gym or a garage.

Injury prevention

Hamstrings. Groin. ACL.
Trained, not just hoped for.

Hamstring strains and groin injuries are the most common in Gaelic games, and ACL tears are among the most serious. Injury-resilience work is programmed into every block, not treated as an extra.

Hamstring

Nordic curls & eccentric strength

The single most commonly injured muscle group in GAA. Regular eccentric hamstring work is one of the best-evidenced ways to cut re-injury risk.

Groin

Adductor strength & control

Copenhagen planks and adductor strength work for the cutting, kicking and striking that load the groin hardest.

Knee / ACL

Landing & deceleration mechanics

Controlled landing, cutting and deceleration drills to build the control that protects the knee under match speed.

FAQ

Questions players ask

What's the best GAA strength and conditioning programme?

One built around GAA's actual demands: repeated sprints, contact, and changes of direction, not a generic gym split. The Complete GAA Off-Season Programme combines strength, speed training and injury-resilience work in one 12-week block, built for the off-season.

How do I prevent hamstring and groin injuries in GAA?

Regular eccentric hamstring work (like Nordic curls) and adductor/groin strength training are the best-evidenced ways to lower re-injury risk. Every programme includes this as standard — see our injury prevention approach.

Do I need a gym?

No. The programmes come with gym and minimal-equipment versions so you can train wherever you can.

Can I do GAA speed and strength training in-season?

The Complete GAA Off-Season Programme is built for the off-season block. If you want ongoing, in-season support, 1:1 Online or Hybrid Coaching is phased around your matches and club training.

Is it suitable for younger players?

Programmes are aimed at adult and older teenage players. Younger players should train under the guidance of a qualified coach and their parent or guardian.

I've had an injury before. Can I still follow it?

Injury history varies a lot. If you're carrying or returning from an injury, check with your physio or doctor before starting any programme.

How do I get access after paying?

You'll get an email straight away with your TeamBuildr login and your programme already assigned. If it doesn't arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder or contact us.

Can I pay with Apple Pay or Google Pay?

Yes. Checkout is handled by Stripe, which supports card, Apple Pay and Google Pay automatically depending on your device and browser.
